Irene Dimitry is a proven leader in the electric utility sector. During her 26+ years at DTE Energy, Irene held increasing leadership roles spanning marketing, business planning, customer service, electric operations, energy efficiency, integrated resource planning, and corporate strategy. Irene led the creation of DTE’s renewable energy business, holding full profit and loss responsibility for over a decade. Under her leadership, this business grew to a $75+ million annual net income business with over $3 billion in renewable asset investments. Since retirement from DTE, Irene has served as an independent consultant focused on the energy industry and non-profits. She has been a senior advisor to several top consulting firms, including McKinsey & Company, E Source, Guidehouse, and Public Sector Consultants. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Southwest Power Pool (SPP), an organization responsible for bulk power grid operations across 14 states and market transactions exceeding $30B a year.
